Currently, dental therapy is not a widely practised service. In fact, there are only a few hundred of us registered in the UK. Dental therapists are highly skilled clinicians, with extra training that allows us to perform a wider range of services.
I pride myself on being able to offer such a high standard of treatment to my patients – and the extra training I have undertaken not only allows me to offer Dental Therapy, it also enhances my overall skill set.
I provide specific restorative procedures such as fillings, including front teeth white fillings. And, wherever possible, I use minimally invasive ‘no drill’ procedures under the prescription of a dentist.
As a Dental Therapist, there are a variety of other treatments I carry out. These include using local anaesthetic, providing fluoride treatment, fissure sealants and taking X-rays if prescribed by the referring dentist. Also, it is important to know I carry out oral health checks as part of the care I offer.
Why not book an appointment today and I can review your Dental Therapy requirements.
